About the position

The position is linked to the Department of Art and Media Science, which currently holds 28 permanent scientific positions. The positions are divided into the fields of drama / theater, film and video production, film science, media science and art history. Within the drama / theater field, two professors, one lecturer, four associate professors, two producers (120% position) and a university lecturer in scenograph in 30% position are currently employed.

The 100% substitute in drama and theater for the period 01.01.2020 to 01.08.2021 is now announced.

The Drama / Theater subject at the Department of Art and Media Studies is a theater science study with a practical-theoretical profile. The section's activities are particularly related to teaching and research in applied theater, dramaturgy, non-European theater and Norwegian theater history. The bachelor program includes teaching in both text- and group-based (devised) theater production and applied theater. The Master's program has a theoretical and a practical-theoretical variant. In the practical-theoretical variant, the students apply artistic and / or art pedagogical research methods and develop products within a wide range of performative, scenic expressions.


Responsibilities

The substitute will be particularly associated with the bachelor's program and teaching theater production and improvisation and role play. The position is part of a team of subject teachers in scenography and departmental engineering (lighting, sound and stage technique).  


eligibility Requirements

Applicants for the position must have:

  • minimum master's degree in drama and theater or highest professional education in acting and / or directing.
  • educational education or other documented art pedagogical experience.
  • good oral and written ability in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language. 

Relevant practical-pedagogical competence on the basis of education or teaching and supervision must be documented.

Wanted qualifications:

  • relevant experience from teaching and supervision in practical-theoretical learning processes
  • relevant experience from planning and teaching art education teams
  • relevant experience from assessment of practical-theoretical exams
  • relevant experience from collaboration on the organization of practical-theoretical teaching

Salary and terms

The person who is hired is obliged to participate in the implementation of teaching and evaluation programs according to approved study plans as well as in the work on professional-pedagogical further development within the scenographic subject area. The scope of teaching follows the norm for the university lecturer, where 20% of the position is related to academic updating.

Language of instruction and supervision is Norwegian, Swedish or Danish.

It is a prerequisite that the person who is employed settles so that he / she can be present at and accessible to the institution on a daily basis.

The position as senior lecturer code 1009 is normally paid from gross NOK 464 800 - 524 200 per employee. years depending on qualifications and seniority. 2% of the statutory contribution is deducted from the salary to the Government Pension Fund.  

Employment is carried out in accordance with the principles of the State Employment Act, and legislation governing the export of knowledge, technology and services. After employment, you must expect that changes may occur in the work area.
