The School also provides unique collaborations with industry and the public sector. The School of Business, Economics and Law is EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA accredited, making it the only business school in Sweden with Triple Crown accreditation. The Environment for Development (EfD) is a unit at the School of Business, Economics and Law at University of Gothenburg. EfD is a global network of environmental economics research centers primarily based in the Global South. The overall objective of EfD is to support poverty alleviation and sustainable development by building environmental economics’ capacity for policy-making processes. EfD has centers hosted by academic institutions in Central America, Chile, China, Colombia, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Vietnam. EfD was launched in 2007 by the Environmental Economics Unit at the Department of Economics, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. EfD continues to work in close partnership with the Department of Economics, which has around 100 employees and 800 students. The collaboration is particularly strong with the research groups in environmental, behavioral and development economics. Job assignmentsThe selected candidate will have a dual role as a researcher and responsible for the coordination of EfD's collaborative programs. As a researcher, the selected candidate will conduct high-quality research in environmental economics, climate economics and development economics with a special focus on issues related to poverty and sustainability in low- and middle-income countries. As responsible for EfD's collaborative programs, the person must have well-developed skills in administration and management to be able to support research within the programs and coordinate research applications that involve the programs.
