About This OpportunityThe UQ Business School is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow / Industry Research Fellow specialising in Business Analytics and Innovation to contribute to innovative and applied research and teaching agenda in the following areas;
Your role will be integral for building industry research leadership and partnership, establishing an industry-focuses big data lab, foster data-driven innovation and develop authentic learning experiences at the UQ Business School. This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university. Our Ideal CandidateYou should hold a PhD (or be at near completion) or have equal relevant industry experience in Information Systems, Business Analytics or Entrepreneurship, in addition to a demonstrated capacity for independent applied research, with an established record of publication or exhibition in high-quality applied outlets. With a coherent emerging research program on data-driven innovation and transformational impact of data, analytics and AI, you should ideally possess experience in qualitative research methods and the ability to write teaching cases. The ability to develop industry liaison and professional contacts, with a broad knowledge of industry solutions and tools in data science, will be integral to your success in the role. What We Can OfferThis is a full-time, fixed term position up to 2 years at Academic level B The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $99,542.80 - $118,206.73, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $116,465.07 - $138,301.88.
