Venker, Ph.D., CCC-SLP) has an opening for a 2-year post-doctoral researcher in language development and autism. The overall goal of the Lingo Lab is to better understand how children with autism learn language and how best to support language learning in children who struggle. The Research Associate will play an integral role in a new, NIH-funded study focused on how linguistic simplification affects language processing and word learning in children with autism. The candidate will contribute to all stages of the project, including experimental design and stimulus preparation; data processing, visualization, analysis, and interpretation; and dissemination of results. The candidate will help supervise and mentor junior researchers. The candidate will be involved in preparing conference presentations and writing scholarly manuscripts. The team will support the candidate in pursuing the scientific aspects of the project that best contribute to the development of their own independent line of research. Funding for conference travel will be provided.
