The Department of Finance at Imperial College Business School is seeking applications for a Pre-doctoral Research Assistant in an area relevant to the department’s research profile. Of particular interest are candidates with an interest in Corporate Finance. Applicants must hold an MSc or be near completion in Finance or a related field. Duties and responsibilitiesThe successful candidate will work in the ERC project grow that studies the impact of financing frictions on small and medium firm growth and performance. This position will be suitable for candidates who have recently completed or be near completion of their MSc and wish to further develop their research skills and advance their ongoing research before applying for PhD programs. Part of the data processing and analysis needs to be performed on site (in Portugal) so will require occasional travel to Portugal. Essential requirementsYou will have excellent data skills (Stata proficiency is required) and ideally you will have some knowledge of the Portuguese language. Previous experience working with Portuguese Administrative data is highly preferred. You will benefit from an active research environment and exposure to leading senior scholars that support the development of a research profile commensurate with a leading business school, whilst gaining valuable teaching experience.
