As a Research Assistant (Postdoc), you'll play a pivotal role in undertaking research activities that align with our prestigious University's research strategy. Your primary focus will be to plan, develop, and engage in high-quality research projects that directly align with our University's research focus areas. To be successful in this position, you’ll meet the following Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated track record and recognition for producing high-quality research outputs in the field of satellite and wireless communications, as evidenced by a strong publication record and active engagement with external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in hands-on design and implementation of communication systems using software-defined radios, with experience in utilising tools such as Matlab, Python, or GNU Radio.

  • In-depth understanding of wireless communication systems, encompassing areas such as digital modulation, OFDM, radio channel impairments, radio interference, and related signal processing techniques.

  • Preferred knowledge and experience in the application of machine learning techniques for wireless communication, supported by relevant research contributions.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and with colleagues, demonstrating a strong commitment to achieving project goals.

  • Skill in building effective networks with colleagues and adeptness in establishing fruitful relationships with industry and government entities, as needed.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills suitable for engaging with external stakeholders, internal staff, industry professionals, emphasizing a strong dedication to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.

  • Mandatory: PhD or equivalent in the relevant field
