Research Assistant I/II (holding the functional title of Project Coordinator) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 500555) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Economics, Quantitative History, or other related disciplines. Bachelor’s degree holders with sophisticated research skills and experience will also be considered. They should be familiar with and possess experience in quantitative research methods as well as project management. Prior research and professional experience in quantitative history research would be an advantage.  The appointee will work for the Quantitative History research team to assist in the projects on economic history of China. Advanced econometric methods will be used to analyse historical data.  He/She will perform the literature search, data collection, econometric analysis, and drafting manuscripts. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
