With more than 8,600 students, the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) is one of the largest universities in the Stuttgart and Upper Neckar regions. Working closely with some 2,000 selected companies and social institutions, it offers more than 60 nationally an internationally approved practice-integrated Bachelor and Masters courses in the Schools of Business, Engineering, Social Work, and Healthcare.

 

THE FOLLOWING POSITION IS AVAILABLE AT THE FACULTY OF BUSINESS:

 

Professorship

for Applied Health and Nursing Sciences,

with focus on Digital Health

 

(Code S4 / AP-56) Remuneration group W 2

 

The tender is particularly aimed at healthcare scientists, nursing scientists, computer scientists with focus on medical, health or nursing informatics, or scientists with related qualifications. You have extensive working experience in the field of Health Care.

 

Your professional and theoretical focus lies on healthcare digitalisation (e.g. Telematics, Telemedicine, hospital information systems, electronic health records and other E-Health applications). Additional competencies in empirical social research, i.e. in the field of Health Care as well as experience in the implementation of simulations as innovative teaching and learning methods complete your profile.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

In accordance with § 47 LHG, a completed university degree, special scientific qualification (usually PhD), pedagogical aptitude, as well as at least five years of professional experience, of which at least three years were obtained outside a university environment. Willingness to participate in scientific development, in particular research and scientific training, is expected. We expect a high level of commitment, willingness to cooperate with the participating companies and social institutions as well as the willingness to perform committee work.

 

If all requirements are met, an appointment as civil servant with unlimited tenure is possible, after three years of civil servant on probation, under the condition that at the time of entry, the applicant is not older than 47 years, or in exceptional cases, 52 years. The DHBW aims to increase the proportion of woman in teaching and research positions, therefore applications from woman are encouraged.
