We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate with the skills to contribute to the on-going development of the Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (HGI) and further strengthen its reputation.

The Haydn Green Institute (HGI) is a leading centre for research, education and practice in entrepreneurship and innovation. The Institute provides a programme of world class entrepreneurship education with the aim of developing the innovators and entrepreneurs of the future. Academic staff at HGI are engaged in a range of research activities including entrepreneurship education, innovation and inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurship. HGI actively translates this research evidence into practical outcomes to generate impact upon entrepreneurial activity in society. This is manifest locally within the Ingenuity lab which supports students, alumni and early career researchers to realise their entrepreneurial aspirations. At a global level, HGI hosts high profile innovation competitions including the YES programmes for early career researchers, the annual Ingenuity innovation event for students, alumni, ECRs and local communities of the international campuses to address the Sustainable Development Goals (www.nottingham.ac.uk/enterprise)

The successful candidate will have evidence of research and broader academic leadership, a sustained track record in knowledge transfer and in publishing international quality research in peer-reviewed journals in relevant areas of entrepreneurship and innovation.   They should also have evidence of securing research funding/undertaking major research projects, an ability to supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA and PhD students and a commitment to educational excellence. A proven track record of developing PhD students to completion is required, along with the ability to deliver a variety of courses in relevant areas of entrepreneurship and innovation to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Candidates should have the ability to develop their own research area, the flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and the ability to work well in a team. They should also have excellent communication and presentation skills.  Effective mentoring of others is a desirable attribute. They will also be required to make an appropriate contribution to administration.

This post will be offered on a permanent, part time basis 14.5h per week (0.4 FTE).
