The PhD candidate will learn advanced health economic and econometric techniques, and apply these to large national data from Ten to Men: The Australian Longitudinal Study on Male Health to answer important health and social policy questions. The AIFS is the Australian Government’s key independent research body and advisor on family wellbeing. Their guiding purpose is to create and communicate knowledge to accelerate positive outcomes for families. Their research is directly used to inform government policy. Under this PhD opportunity, the right candidate will undertake a research placement at AIFS, which will offer a unique opportunity to develop research capabilities at the academia-policy nexus. The Centre for Health Economics at Monash University The Centre for Health Economics (CHE) is an internationally renowned institution that has contributed to academic research and public policy in the economics of health and health care for over 30 years.
