About These Opportunities

The Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor positions in Business Information Systems will contribute principally to teaching, research, and service and engagement. They will be responsible for contributing to disciplinary leadership and excellence within the business information system discipline with a special focus on business analytics and/or digital transformation.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

For Level B Lecturer, you'll have a PhD in Business Information Systems or closely related field, evidence of an emerging program of research, peer-reviewed publications in leading journals and a pipeline of research-in-progress which is targeting high quality journals. You will also have the ability to teach at undergraduate or postgraduate levels, collaboration across disciplinary boundaries and successfully supervise higher degree by research students.

For Level C Senior Lecturer, you'll have a PhD in Business Information Systems or closely related field, evidence of current and active program of research including peer-reviewed publications in leading journals and a pipeline of research-in-progress which is targeting high quality journals. You will also have a high quality track record of teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate levels, experience in course development and effective record of supervising higher degree by research students.

For Level D Associate Professor, you'll have a PhD in Business Information Systems or closely related field, an outstanding established track record of publishing in leading journals and a pipeline of research-in-progress which is targeting high quality journals. You will also have international recognition for research contributions and a high quality track record in teaching innovation and leadership.

What We Can Offer

These are full-time, continuing positions at Academic Level B, C and D.

For Level B, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $97,590 - $115,888 plus super of up to 17%.

For Level C, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $119,548 - $137,846 plus super of up to 17%.

For Level D, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $143,945 - $158,584 plus super of up to 17%.
