Lecturer/assistant Professor in Management and Organisation Studies (2 temporary employments) Stockholm

The Department of Management is one of four departments at Stockholm Business School that together consists of about 150 employees and 2 000 students. The teaching at the department as well as for the lectureship in question focuses on Management and Organisation studies.

Subject/subject description

Ever since the onset of the modern corporation has the question around how best to administer and lead such organizations been appealing to a multitude of scholars from a range of different disciplines. At the start, primarily engineers started grappling with the question and putting their mark on the field. Then came psychologists, sociologists and economists, even anthropologists and political scientists entered the discussion and became part of the process that gave birth to a vibrant and interdisciplinary field that is today called Management and Organisation studies.

Main responsibilities

The position involves research, teaching and supervision in the first, second and third cycles, as well as administration.

Qualification requirements

In order to qualify for employment as lecturer and assistant Professor, the applicant must have demonstrated teaching skills and have a doctoral degree or equivalent expertise, within management and organization studies or adjacent relevant fields on introductory as well as more advanced levels of study.

A general assessment criterion is the ability to work with other people, as well as other general abilities required to perform one’s duties.

Assessment criteria

In the appointment process, special and equal attention will be given to research skills and teaching skills. In addition, attention is given to administrative skills and the ability to interact with the surrounding community.

Teaching and learning in higher education

Completed training in teaching and learning in higher education worth at least 15 credits, or equivalent knowledge, is an advantage.

Terms of employment

This is a full-time position and limited to one year. Start date 2020-09-01 or as per agreement.
