Doctoral student and Research Assistant in Business Informatics (m / f) 

The Department of Information Management at the Institute for Information Systems at the University of Bern is headed by Prof. Dr. med. Thomas Myrach. The group is dedicated to the challenges of digitization in business and administration. An important topic is the vision of e-business or e-government and the accompanying digital transformation. 
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated doctoral candidate by October 1, 2019 or by appointment.



  • Collaboration on the conception and implementation of research projects
  • Presentation and publication of research results
  • Support of teaching and supervision of students
  • Cooperation in the acquisition and implementation of research and practice-oriented third-party funded projects
  • Support of the administration of a university institute


  • Master's degree from an accredited university with distinction, preferably in business administration with a major in business informatics
  • High interest in research in the area of business informatics
  • Ability to work scientifically
  • Largely independent and responsible work style
  • Excellent German and English knowledge in spoken and written
  • Good understanding of computer-based information systems and their technical components
