Job Description

The United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a faculty position. Qualified candidates at all levels will be considered at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University. The application package should include a cover letter, a detailed resume, a brief description of current/future research activities, teaching philosophy, and courses taught. English is the language of instruction and communication. Screening of applications will continue until the position is filled.

Minimum Qualification

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field. The ability to teach undergraduate courses is a must. Industrial and professional experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualification

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Business, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. They should demonstrate a proven track record of publications in Q1, SCOPUS Rank A, and peer-reviewed journals. The ability to secure research funding or develop funded research initiatives is essential. Excellence in teaching is required, with a focus on innovative pedagogy and the ability to teach a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate courses. Candidates should demonstrate collegiality and a strong commitment to contributing to the growth of the institution and its broader community. Proficiency in English, the language of instruction and communication, is mandatory.

Excpected Skills

The successful candidate will conduct high-quality research leading to publications in top-tier, refereed journals and will develop and sustain funded research initiatives. Teaching responsibilities include delivering undergraduate and mostly graduate courses in entrepreneurship and related disciplines, employing innovative and practical approaches to enhance student learning. The candidate will also lead and manage the Entrepreneurship Lab, creating hands-on, practical opportunities that integrate academic knowledge with real-world applications. Mentoring students, advising them on academic and professional development, and actively contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the Entrepreneurship program are integral aspects of the role. The candidate will be expected to engage in high-level service or external projects that promote the growth and reputation of UAEU at large and its Entrepreneurship program. Industry experience in the UAE and internationally is highly valued to ensure the program's practical relevance and quality.
