Date Posted: 10/07/2025 DescriptionThe Institute for Studies in Transdisciplinary Engineering Education and Practice (ISTEP) in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering (FASE) at the University of Toronto invites applications for up to two full-time teaching stream appointments, specializing in the integration and delivery of communication instruction within the engineering curriculum. The appointments will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. While both positions will focus on integrating communication instruction into the engineering curriculum, one will specifically support second language learners, including:
QualificationsApplicants must have earned a PhD in engineering, technical communication, or a related area (such as English, Applied Linguistics, Rhetoric, Engineering Education, or Engineering) by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter, and must demonstrate excellence in teaching.
