Position Summary

The School of Journalism at Michigan State University is seeking dynamic and engaging candidates for a part-time faculty position to teach a special topics course in sports play-by-play for television and radio. This is a part-time position occurring spring semester each year.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated professional expertise, as well as teaching experience. 

Review of applicants will continue until the position is filled.

Position is planned to recur every Spring Semester

Required Degree

Bachelors -Journalism, Mass Communication, or relat

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field
  • Demonstrable skills in area related to course content

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience is valued
  • At least five years of industry experience in sports play-by-play
  • Recognized or award-winning achievements in related areas of practice
