Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Journalism and Media Studies Centre (Ref.: 493834), to commence on July 1, 2019 as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis.

 

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Journalism, multimedia, entertainment technology or related fields; and at least five years of full-time relevant experience in teaching professional courses on photography and video production at tertiary level. Applicants with proven experience as a photographer or a video producer are preferred. The appointee will be responsible for teaching courses on photography and video production, as well as designing curriculum and developing new courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
