The Opportunity 

The Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning July 1, 2019, subject to final budgetary approval. 

Our School, consisting of 26 full-time faculty members, prides itself both on the quality of its teaching and the breadth of its research. It is accredited by AACSB and BTM Forum. The School, which hosts Canada's largest and one of the most reputable business technology management (BTM) program is strongly committed to producing a workforce with competence in integrating information and communication technologies and managerial knowledge to support the regional, national, and global economy. Our multidisciplinary faculty actively participate in the Master of Science in Management and MBA programs, and support collaborative research with far-reaching impact towards solving real world problems. Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will be expected to: develop and maintain a strong, independent, externally-funded research program; collaborate with colleagues on research grants and publications; publish in top-ranked journals; supervise graduate students; teach at undergraduate and graduate levels; and engage in collegial service. 
 

Qualifications 

Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to upholding the values of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as it pertains to service, teaching, and scholarly, research or creative activities and will be expected to demonstrate their ability to work with a diverse student population. 

The following are expectations of the successful candidate:

  • a PhD in Information Systems from an accredited business school;

  • demonstrated expertise in the areas of cybersecurity and privacy; a strong research profile with evidence of peer reviewed publications/contributions in top management journals; demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program; evidence of research collaborations or strong potential/ability to attract industrial and community collaborative initiatives; demonstrated experience in undergraduate and graduate course development and teaching, preferably in the areas of cybersecurity, information privacy, and analytics;

  • a strong record of effective student teaching and research training,

  • capacity for collegial service.
