Position Details
The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown seeks an assistant professor with expertise in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication for a non-tenure track position in the Division of Humanities starting in August 2019. Requirements include PhD in Communication (ABD considered) with significant and relevant experience preferred. The teaching load is four courses per semester and will include Public Speaking. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop and teach in other desired areas of interest, which could include: Advertising, Communication Theory, and Business and Professional Communication. Additional duties include student advising and university service activities.

 

Qualifications other than the degree and specialization noted above include: college teaching in relevant course areas; evidence of teaching effectiveness; and commitment to teaching excellence. The University is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their leadership, research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
