Position Details
The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, a four-year undergraduate college of the University of Pittsburgh, invites applications for a tenure stream or non-tenure stream position as Assistant Professor of Management beginning August 2019. Doctorate in Management or related field required (ABD considered); teaching experience at the college level required; professional experience in substantive management role preferred. Appointment may be made in the tenure- or non-tenure stream, depending on credentials.

 

The Division of Business and Enterprise at Pitt-Johnstown offers BS degrees in six different fields, including Management. Management majors may choose to concentrate in Human Resources Management, Healthcare Management, or General Management. We are seeking an individual who will assist in developing innovations within the major and work closely with the local business community to expand experiential learning opportunities for students. Teaching responsibilities include introductory and advanced classes in Management, preferably including Human Resource Management, Health Care Management, Entrepreneurship, or Ethics and Leadership. Teaching load is four courses each semester. Candidates should exhibit skill and enthusiasm in teaching undergraduates, a commitment to professional development, and be willing to participate in all phases of departmental, divisional, and college activities.
