Further requirements:

  • Research focus in areas of applied microeconomic theory (eg industrial economics, contract theory, information economy, game theory)

  • Proof of successful university teaching as well as outstanding research activities, if possible also internationally

  • Ability to conduct courses in English and German

  • Experience in third-party funded projects


Expectations for the future activity:

In addition to the official duties resulting from § 99 BerlHG in particular, the following activities are also expected of the person appointed:

  • Participation in courses in economics and microeconomics at bachelor, master and doctoral level (eg within the Berlin Doctoral Program in Economics and Management Science - BDPEMS), also in English

  • Participation in research colloquia

  • Willingness to attract third-party funds

  • Publication of research results in high-level international journals

  • Treatment of discipline-relevant gender and diversity approaches


The recruitment of a candidate as a temporary civil servant is intended for a period of three years. In the case of the proven probation (intermediate evaluation) employment is planned for another three years.
