Adjunct Lecturer of Communication – Web Strategies for Organizations

The Master of Communication Management (MCM) program in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, University of Southern California seeks a qualified Adjunct Lecturer to supplement instruction offered by our full-time faculty, specifically to teach CMGT 528: Web Strategies for Organizations. This course focuses on web sites and platforms, their design and content strategies. More specific topics include user experience, content strategy, search engine optimization, site analytics, e-commerce and other monetization strategies, governance and community policies, and other performance aspects.

Candidates must have substantial industry experience in user experience (UX) research and design, marketing and branding communication, and analytics. Teaching experience in experience (UX) research and design, marketing communication, analytics, or other fields of applied communication is highly desired.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Master in Communication, Writing, Design, Marketing, Analytics or related fields.

Minimum Experience: 15 years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Education: Master in Communication, Writing, Design, Marketing, Analytics or related fields.

Preferred Experience: Teaching experience in experience (UX) research and design, marketing communication, analytics, and other fields of applied communication. Demonstrated ability to coach and help students achieve their academic and professional goals. Work experience with national or global agencies or Fortune-500 tier brands.

USC reserves the “Adjunct” appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year, but in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
