Adjunct Lecturer of Communication-Information Management

The Master of Communication Management (MCM) program in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, University of Southern California seeks qualified adjunct faculty to supplement instruction offered by our full-time faculty, specifically teaching the program’s CMGT-507 Information Management course during the Summer 2022 semester.

Candidates must have a Master’s degree in: Communication, Media Studies, Business Management, Statistics or related fields, plus substantial industry experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education: A Master’s degree in Communication, Media Studies, Business, Management, Statistics or related fields.

Minimum Experience: 20 years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Education: A Master’s in Communication, Media Studies, Management, Statistics or related fields.

Preferred Experience: Senior leadership position or partner in research, analytics, insights or related functions with a major agency or consultancy firm. Experienced in establishing above functions for major brands across different sectors. Expertise surrounding big data’s complexity and nuances regarding how audiences consume content, as well as competitive analysis and predictive strategies. Record of data-driven innovation surrounding social media, mobile, and search. Expertise in interpreting and building narratives around data. Demonstrated ability to coach and help students and young professionals achieve their academic and professional goals.

USC reserves the “Adjunct” appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year, but in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
