Adjunct Instructor, Reporting and Writing I

The Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California seeks an adjunct instructor to teach JOUR 207: Reporting and Writing I, Fall 2019. 


JOUR 207 provides students with foundational skills to report, write and produce news stories across multiple platforms, including social media, digital and text.

 

Applicants should have a minimum of three years reporting experience as a text reporter for a newspaper or digital outlet where text pieces were the primary product writing. That experience should include daily and breaking news reporting.  Experience with enterprise, long-form or feature reporting is a plus. Experience with writing/reporting across multiple platforms including websites, apps, push alerts, and social media platforms is also a plus.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or more than three years of professional career/experience.
